Con il suo lavoro, lo styling che racconta diventa un modo per esprimere identità e visione.

Antonella Correnti non veste corpi, costruisce mondi. Mette insieme lembi di stoffa, vibrazioni, immaginari, e li cuce addosso a chi non cerca un look, ma una voce. “Il mio styling è analitico, empatico e narrativo” dice, ma in realtà è qualcosa di più viscerale: è un’operazione chirurgica d’identità, dove ogni accessorio è un frammento di verità. In un’epoca in cui tutto si consuma in uno scroll, Antonella lavora controcorrente, stratificando significati, scavando, restituendo tridimensionalità a ciò che altrimenti sarebbe solo estetica.

C’è qualcosa di cinematografico nel suo processo: la ricerca è la prima fase, l’ascolto la seconda, poi arriva la costruzione dell’immagine, come una sceneggiatura visiva che deve avere coerenza, ritmo, tensione. Ma non c’è niente di impersonale: ogni progetto è un corpo a corpo con le storie degli altri. E ogni storia è un’architettura da costruire con stoffe, proporzioni, dettagli che funzionano come didascalie silenziose. Niente è lasciato al caso, ma niente è ingessato. Lo styling, per lei, è un flusso dinamico, mai rigido, che si adatta, si piega, si trasforma.

Lo si capisce guardando i riferimenti che l’hanno formata: Tim Walker con le sue allucinazioni poetiche, Juergen Teller e il suo sguardo ruvido, JW Anderson che mescola maschile e femminile come fossero pigmenti su una tavolozza impazzita. È quest’ultimo ad averle insegnato l’arte di destrutturare: il coraggio del dettaglio disturbante, il valore dell’ambiguità, la forza del non detto. Da lì, Antonella ha iniziato a costruire il suo universo: un posto dove l’errore è possibilità e la bellezza non è mai addomesticata.

Wao, il suo progetto di laurea, è più di una collezione: è un manifesto. Fluttuante, androgino, libero. Niente pose forzate, niente genere, niente forma imposta. C’è dentro un’urgenza politica che si veste di tessuti morbidi e strutture fluide. È un grido sottile ma potente: l’identità non si definisce, si indossa. E ogni capo è un atto di resistenza all’omologazione.

Nelle sue mani, lo styling diventa anche gesto sostenibile. Non come trend, ma come urgenza creativa. Il riuso, l’archivio, la composizione inattesa sono strumenti per dire di più, non di meno. Nessun bisogno di comprare l’ennesima tendenza, quando puoi remixare un pezzo dimenticato e renderlo culto. Non si tratta solo di ridurre l’impatto ambientale, si tratta di rifiutare l’inutilità. Perché il bello, per essere vero, deve anche avere senso.

Il kit dello stylist, per Antonella, è fatto di magia invisibile: spille da balia, nastro, pinze, piccoli escamotage che modificano la realtà senza farsene accorgere. È lì che accade l’incantesimo: nella possibilità di trasformare l’imperfetto in sublime, il funzionale in narrativo. Dietro ogni scatto, c’è una piccola rivoluzione tecnica che non si vede, ma si sente.

E anche quando lavora con persone che non condividono il suo gusto, non si ritrae: accetta la sfida, entra in territori sconosciuti. Lavorare con uno stile distante significa uscire dalla propria zona di controllo, e crescere. Perché lo styling non è imporre, è tradurre. Non è rifare te stessa in ogni look, ma trovare la chiave per aprire ogni singola porta.

Lo sbaglio più comune, oggi? Pensare che vestirsi significhi imitare. Pensare che seguire le tendenze basti a costruirsi un’identità. “Le persone non si conoscono abbastanza. Non ascoltano il proprio corpo, non ascoltano la propria voce”. Lo styling efficace, invece, nasce da lì: dalla consapevolezza. È un processo introspettivo prima che estetico. Un dialogo, non una vetrina.

A chi vuole fare questo mestiere, Antonella lancia un avvertimento: non basta amare la moda. Serve fame visiva, cultura, disciplina. Servono le mani sporche, il portfolio ossessivamente curato, il coraggio di fare da sé anche quando nessuno ti guarda. Servono collaborazioni, occhi aperti, rispetto per chi ti sta davanti. Ma soprattutto, serve una voce. Non forte. Autentica.
