Costruire immagini, decostruire estetiche

“A volte fa paura perdere quella voce visiva che costruisci con fatica, ma se è autentica, non si perde: cambia forma.”

C’è qualcosa di magnetico e difficile da spiegare nelle immagini di Tania, conosciuta nel mondo visivo come iconxspic.

Le sue fotografie sembrano arrivare da un altrove mitologico e personale, uno spazio dove il corpo non posa soltanto, ma racconta, evoca, respira. Ma chi è Tania, davvero, dietro l’obiettivo? A raccontarsi è lei stessa, con una sincerità disarmante: dice di essere una persona piena di risate, che ama stare da sola, muoversi, ma anche annoiarsi – perché l’ozio, spiega, è fertile. Si definisce timida, ma chiacchierona, curiosa, affamata di scoperte e creazioni.

Il progetto iconxspic nasce da un desiderio semplice e audace allo stesso tempo: mostrare il proprio lavoro in modo più professionale, nonostante l’insicurezza iniziale. All’inizio era solo un hobby, senza grandi aspettative. Il nome stesso è nato quasi per caso: un gioco visivo tra parole e suoni che la rappresentavano. Unisce “icon”, il richiamo alle icone e all’immaginario visivo, con una “x” centrale che connette, e “spic”, che richiama sia “pic” (foto) sia la sua taglia XS – un modo autoironico e tenero per dire “piccola icona”. Una trovata che all’inizio sembrava leggera, ma che è diventata una firma riconoscibile e carica di senso.

Sin da bambina, passava ore immersa tra riviste, pubblicità, videoclip. Rimaneva incantata davanti alle immagini di moda, affascinata da quel mondo, da quelle atmosfere. Le foto a Kate Moss, le modelle, tutto le sembrava incredibile. E quel desiderio – capire, farne parte – è rimasto.

La sua estetica non è mai rigida o forzata, ma nasce da un’intuizione sensibile, da una contaminazione continua: artisti, moda antica e moderna, fantasia, immaginari raccolti e reinventati. Il suo linguaggio visivo si costruisce anche attraverso il dialogo con chi fotografa. Per lei il corpo non è un oggetto, ma una presenza, un gesto espressivo. La posa non è rigida, ma collaborativa, pensata per raccontare qualcosa di vero, di vivo. E la moda diventa un’estensione di tutto questo: un mezzo narrativo, una vibrazione estetica che comunica più del semplice vestire.

Il colore è per lei una scelta quasi politica. Ama visceralmente il bianco e nero – se fosse per lei, userebbe solo quello – ma sa anche quando è il momento di accendere lo scatto con una gamma fredda, o quando lasciar parlare il colore per valorizzare una scena, un dettaglio, un’emozione. Le sue ispirazioni visive sono onnivore: riviste, campagne, Pinterest, videoclip, ma anche semplicemente il tempo libero, l’attesa, la noia creativa che le permette di vedere con occhi nuovi.

Il suo processo creativo è un equilibrio tra pianificazione e istinto. Quando si tratta di progetti importanti, c’è una direzione chiara, moodboard, briefing con il team. Ma non tutto può essere controllato, e anzi, è proprio nell’imprevisto che spesso accade la magia. Quando Tania cura anche la direzione creativa, l’intero universo dell’immagine nasce da lei: dal concept al mood, dalla luce al casting. Quando invece lavora su un’idea altrui, interpreta con fedeltà quella visione, senza rinunciare alla sua firma, alla sua sensibilità.

Con il sistema moda ha un rapporto complesso: lo osserva, lo attraversa, ma preferisce non esserne inghiottita. Le interessa il suo potere comunicativo, ma ne rifiuta le logiche più superficiali. Lavora ai margini, o forse nei bordi: in quello spazio ibrido dove si può creare con libertà. Secondo lei, la fotografia di moda contemporanea manca spesso di rischio. È bella, sì, ma a volte vuota. Eppure, qualcosa sta cambiando: corpi non normativi, verità più crude, una fotografia più personale, più umana. È questo il cambiamento che l’appassiona: un ritorno all’autenticità, all’imperfezione, alla narrazione vera.

Guardando al futuro, Tania sogna in grande: campagne con brand importanti che osino davvero, collaborazioni con artisti, set costruiti come sogni scenici. E se le si chiede se ha paura di perdere la propria voce visiva, risponde con onestà: un po’ sì, ma è più l’entusiasmo a prevalere. Per lei, se una voce è autentica, non si perde – si trasforma. E quello che desidera è proprio questo: evolversi, contaminarsi, crescere con il proprio lavoro, lasciando che ogni immagine sia lo specchio di un tempo vissuto.

Oggi, ciò che la emoziona davvero è il presente. Sentirsi lì, nel qui e ora. Accettare la propria realtà, anche quando non è facile, ma sapere che – finalmente – ci si sta andando d’accordo. In fondo, è anche questo che raccontano le sue fotografie: il coraggio sottile di stare nel mondo a modo proprio.
